Skin boosters & Skincare

Skin Boosters

Skin boosters are injectable treatments that leave the skin looking firm, radiant and revitalised. They give the skin a ‘filtered look’.

They help treat concerns such as:

  • Loose lax skin
  • Loss of elasticity
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Dehydration and dullness
  • Loss of skin plumpness and radiance
  • Sun spots and pigmentation
  • Scarring
  • Poor circulation/ blue/silver colour under the eyes
  • Large pores

Skin boosters are either in the form of a polynucleotide or hyaluronic acid gel. Both these are clinically proven to change the composition of the epidermis and dermis, by stimulating new collagen and elastin production and attracting long-lasting hydration to the area, depending on the aim of treatment. They can be used for issues on the face, neck, hands, décolletage. They can also be used on the body such as laxity issues skin around the knees, arms and stomach.

Skin boosters used include:

  • Profhilo
  • Nucleofill
  • Nucleodyn
  • Light Eyes Ultra
  • Restylane VITAL
  • Belotero Revive
  • VIVACY HydroMax
  • Teoxane Redensity I

Treatment Procedure:

Numbing cream is applied to the area, skin is cleansed and microinjections in the dermis are performed using an extremely fine needle or a cannula to deliver the product. Depending on the product used and desired effect, there may be zero downtime, or you may have small nodules that remain within the dermis for the rest of the day. These will have disappeared by the following day. Any slight bruising can be covered with makeup the next day.

The treatment needs to be repeated 2-3 weeks later or 4 weeks later for the full desired effect.
