Microneedling with Exosomes

What is it and how does it work?

Microneedling causes painless micro-trauma to the skin, using many tiny needles via a hand-held device. This stimulates the body to regenerate and repair the skin. It also creates micro channels via which to deliver exosomes.

Exosomes act as natural messengers to trigger and enhance the body’s own repair processes - they help the cells communicate by delivering growth factors, producing a much healthier looking skin. Skin appears less dull and more radiant. The exosomes are derived from bovine colostrum, marine sources or are plant-based.

What can it be used for?

  • Loss of skin plumpness
  • Dehydrated skin
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Post procedure healing
  • Uneven, textured skin
  • Large pores
  • UV damaged skin
  • To create a glassy, glossy appearance to the skin

Are exosomes a type of biostimulator?

Yes. A biostimulator is defined as a treatment that stimulates the body to use its natural processes to repair and regenerate. As we age, we lose collagen and elastin from the skin which reduces the skin’s elasticity and causes aging. The process of microneedling using exosomes stimulates the body to produce new collagen and elastin. This improves skin quality.

When will I see results?

Results develop over time, as the body needs time to respond to the stimulus. Depending on the patient, you will need 3 sessions, 4 weeks between treatment. Results will be 1 month after your last treatment.
